Based in Nottingham, Prestige Fireplaces Ltd were established in 1994 after taking over the business from Renown Fireplaces which had been trading since 1926.
The former owner Mr David Lancashire of Renown Fireplaces retired in 1994 after over forty years of service. Now in his 70s, he calls in every week to check on us and to pay his lottery subscription.
Mr David Berry, the owner of Prestige Fireplaces is fully skilled in all aspects of woodworking and the manufacture of fireplaces and is responsible for all aspects of running a small business.
Mr Terry Lowe has been at the premises since 1975 and is highly skilled in the making of fire surrounds. He is responsible for machining the material, cutting to size and assembly.
Other staff are skilled in all aspects of fireplace manufacture.
Being a small business, we offer a more personal alternative to buying a fireplace, and as each fireplace is hand made we like to think that we offer more to our customers than the larger companies.

Still trading from the same premises, Prestige Fireplaces manufacture fire surrounds from solid timber using traditional methods and have a fully equipped woodworking machine shop, giving us the flexibility of making different designs and custom made fire surrounds.
Fire surrounds are manufactured from raw materials, the whole process from machining, assembly, spray finishing, through to packaging takes place at the factory.
Unlike some fire surround internet sites, when we use the term: Our fire surrounds, we do actually mean our fire surrounds! We do not buy in to sell on.
With a good range of Traditional, contemporary and modern designs, which are available in different timbers and finishes, we believe that we can cater for everyone’s tastes.
